The Inventory Space Manager supports space planners and managers in defining and evaluating usage areas and furnishing elements. MUIGG Spaces METRO is an extension of the Space Module for AutoCAD Architecture (ACA) and was created based on specific requirements of the German wholesale company METRO Cash & Carry.

Since the 2010 version of AutoCAD Architecture, rooms are no longer created using a function developed by CAM, but rather using the ACA function. This has the advantage that no additional room object needs to be used. However, the process has been improved compared to the standard functionality in that the names can be changed much more easily and each space is also assigned to the correct zone.

The individual areas are combined into area groups, using the functionality of the ACA zone. The hierarchical structure of the area groups is displayed in a dockable dialog box, which is also used to control the visibility of the individual zones.

Another feature is the ability to evaluate furnishings according to their position within an area group, either by number of items or by running meters (e.g., for shelves in department stores). These evaluations can be assigned to cost centers and displayed as an Excel table or as a table in the drawing.
